About Azad Reads
Azad Reads is a registered nonprofit trust based community dedicated to promoting reading culture and bringing people together through books and cultural events. Every Sunday, We gather with our books and mats at Chandra Shekhar Azad Park (Company Garden) to read together in quiet company for about two hours. Azad Reads is free and open to all. Once you arrive, Pick a spot that feels most comfortable - whether that's on the grass or on one of the many benches nearby- and ease into your reading rhythm. Most of us prefer the lawn, But do what suits you best

Silence
Azad Reads is a space for silent reading. If you need to talk, Please do so quietly and considerately. And if someone is disturbing your peace, feel free to politely let them know
Consent
Always ask before clicking pictures that include others. Similarly, If you wish to share space, mats, or belongings, Please ask for permission first.
Respect
Azad reads is rooted in tehzeeb. We value respectful words, actions, and attitudes. Our community brings together readers from diverse backgrounds and age groups - There's so much we can learn from one another, and it begins with mutual respect.

Azad Reads is an inclusive and safe space for all readers, regardless of identity. We maintain zero tolerance for inappropriate behaviour of any kind - whether physical, verbal, mental, or sexual - within the gathering or under its name. We entertain no cussing whatsover.
Discussions & Reflection
Polite and thoughtful discussions about books are always welcome, Especially at the start and end of our sessions. If conversations arise during the meeting, Let's help each other gently refocus on the reading.
